Ta Prohm is one of the most famous temples in the complex. Probably, its appearance in a Tomb Raider film has something to do with its fame. Ta Prohm, unlike most of the temples at Angkor, has been devoured by the jungle, giving its falling ruins a special magic. But, what about Angkor Wat? It is the pearl of the complex, and the snapshot that comes to our mind when we think about the whole complex and it is, in fact, the best preserved example of Khmer architecture in Cambodia. Such is its importance, that it has been included several times among the seven wonders of the world and it also appears on the Cambodian National flag.

However, there are many interesting temples, not that touristy but they worth a visit. You will find Banteay Srei, Bayon Temple or Angkor Thom. All of them from the same Khmer Empire, but with a different history behind.
